I have been drawn to ancient history, art, and more since I was a child. During summers, I often went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. My desire to learn more about ancient history was amplified during elementary school!
From there, I followed my dream and now am an Archaeologist and Art Historian who specializes in Aegean Bronze Age weaponry and combat iconography in the Eastern Mediterranean. I graduated with my BA in 2016, my MA in 2018 and my Ph.D. in 2023.
When I am not working at Styx and Bones, you can catch me teaching my Sacred Space course at a University during the school year. This course focuses on ancient history, religion, mythology, and more for my students! When I can, I am in the field digging, working, or leading travel groups in the Eastern Mediterranean.
I have excavated Cyprus at the site of Ancient Idalion and worked on Crete with museums doing study seasons, cataloging, and completing digital fresco reconstructions of the Throne Room at the Palace of Knossos.
You can catch me hosting The Dirt Diaries Podcast, co-hosting Styx and Bones with Chelsea and Tenn, and more on social media!
